We have had many new developments at our foundation over the last two years, including rebranding from Me Too Mining Association to Mine Shift Foundation. This significant change came with a new look and logo.  Now, we are also launching our brand new website to fortify our message, vision, and mission to raise awareness of harassment and assault in the mining industry and empower workers to address and prevent abuse through bystander intervention and allyship training.

Most recently, our organization has taken a significant step forward by welcoming an Executive Director. Chrissy Benz has recently joined our team to provide dedicated leadership, advancing our foundation's mission and expanding our offerings related to active bystander intervention and allyship training. Until now, Mine Shift has thrived through the dedication of our volunteer board, but the positive impact of having a non-profit executive overseeing daily operations and strategic development is already evident.

Following our recent Annual General Meeting (AGM), we want to express our heartfelt gratitude to our outgoing Board Members, Chih-Ting Lo and Barbara Courte Elinesky. They generously contributed their valuable time and played a role in the growth and development of Me Too Mining and Mine Shift. We deeply appreciate their hard work.

Looking ahead, we are filled with excitement and optimism about the future. We are eager to establish connections with more companies and institutions, expanding our reach to train their employees in bystander intervention strategies. Our DIGGER program equips individuals with the knowledge of how to respond to workplace issues like harassment, assault, racism, discrimination, and bullying. It empowers both workers and executives to intervene, either for themselves or in support of their colleagues.
